Using the church buildings

Over the past few years the church has undergone refurbishment.  The worship centre has been recarpeted, with more efficient reverse cycle air conditioning for heating and cooling, more flexible seating and lower energy lighting. A hanging rail for art exhibitions was included, making the positioning of pictures and other art works much more flexible. The hall has also been renovated, the floor sanded and sealed and sliding doors permit better access.

A modern sound system and projection facility has been installed.

This has made the church a much more flexible venue and it is intended that the building become much more a community space than it has been in the past.  Certainly a number of concerts and performances have been held there and more are planned for the future.  The hanging rail has proven its value during several exhibitions of art, most recently during the Creative Spirit Festival held in conjunction with St. Philip's.
