About St. John's

St John’s congregation is the focus for Uniting Church life for Phillip Island and San Remo.

Our district, particularly Phillip Island, is one of the major holiday destinations of the State; home to the world famous Penguin Parade and the equally famous Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit.  No small wonder that holidaymakers feature significantly in the life of our congregation. The same can be said for retirees who often choose to live in one of the fastest growing municipalities around, bringing their energy, talents and a willingness to contribute in a new community.  We believe each person has spiritual gifts, a unique personality and a distinct destiny in God’s unfolding plan.

All are welcome to our worship; normal  Sunday  8.45 am Contemplative Service, 10.15 am Service in the Church, Good Friday and Christmas Day are 9 am. For our periodical magazine The Rock click here.

The church is in central Cowes on Phillip Island on the corner of Warley Avenue and Chapel Street.  Click here to show the church on a Google Map on a new page.  We are also moving towards a shared ministry with the Anglican Church in San Remo, more details later.
